چکیده
This paper introduces a Model Predictive Control (MPC) strategy for the optimal energy management of district whose buildings are equipped with vertically placed Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The BIPV able to cover larger areas buildings’ surfaces, as compared conventional rooftop PV systems, reach their peak production during winter spring, which renders them suitable harvesting especially in urban areas. Driven by both these relative advantages, proposed aims maximize district’s autonomy from external grid, is achieved through cooperation interactive buildings. Therefore, major contribution this study group buildings, each its own system vertical panels BESS, carried out an MPC strategy. control scheme consists three main components, i.e., forecaster, optimizer district, interact periodically other. In order quantitatively evaluate benefits implementation hypothetical five-node distribution network located Greece four representative days year was examined, followed sensitivity analysis examine effect configuration on performance.

This paper studies a nonlinear predictive energy management strategy for a residential building with a rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system and second-life lithium-ion battery energy storage. A key novelty of this manuscript is closing the gap between building energy management formulations, advanced load forecasting techniques, and nonlinear battery/PV models. Additionally, we focus on the fundame...
متن کاملIntegrated Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Markov Model for Circuit Breakers Equipped With Condition Monitoring
The Circuit Breaker (CB) is one of the most important equipment in power systems. CB must operate reliably to protect power systems as well as to perform tasks such as load disconnection, normal interruption, and fault current interruption. Therefore, the reliable operation of CB can affect the security and stability of power network. In this paper, effects of Condition Monitoring (CM) of CB on...

This paper studies power management in a grid-tied hybrid energy system consisting of photovoltaic array, wind turbine, fuel cell, electrolyzer, hydrogen storage tank and a combinational heating system to supply the thermal and electrical demand of a building. Moreover, the hybrid system is capable of exchanging power with local grid. Thus, variable daily buying and selling tariffs are also tak...
متن کاملModel Predictive Control of Distributed Energy Resources with Predictive Set-Points for Grid-Connected Operation
This paper proposes an MPC - based (model predictive control) scheme to control active and reactive powers of DERs (distributed energy resources) in a grid - connected mode (either through a bus with its associated loads as a PCC (point of common coupling) or an MG (micro - grid)). DER may be a DG (distributed generation) or an ESS (energy storage system). In the proposed scheme, the set - poin...
